As a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals at the end of their life journey. We are looking for dedicated and kind-hearted individuals who possess a special hospice heart!
CNA Duties and Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide direct and indirect patient care in inpatient or outpatient settings under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Daily Living Assistance: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, comfort, and ensuring a safe and clean environment.
- Emotional Support: Offer bodily and emotional comfort to hospice patients and families, while educating and assisting them in maintaining independence in a safe environment.
- Prioritize Comfort: Make the comfort and care of patients and families your highest priority at all times.
- Exceptional Service: Consistently deliver personalized, sincere, and engaging service to patients and families, addressing concerns promptly and effectively.
CNA Qualifications:
Education/Regulatory Requirements:
- Current license to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Arizona.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Skills:
- Preferred: 6-months of experience in a hospital or healthcare environment.
- Ability to accept direction and supervision comfortably.
- Capability to work collaboratively with professionals and volunteers.
- Effective and efficient task fulfillment.
- Maintain good personal hygiene and present a neat and clean appearance.
Professional Requirements:
- Clear and understandable communication skills.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding patients, families, and staff.
- Understand and apply the Hospice Philosophy in practice.
- Respect the needs, beliefs, behaviors, and psychology of patients and families.
Language Skills:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
