    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a Joint Venture Accountant to join the controllership team.

    This will be a hybrid work schedule position including a combination of both remote and in-office, that can be based in, but not limited to: Austin, TX: Houston, TX

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Preparing monthly financial statements and reporting packages
    • Processing invoices, payments, and monthly journal entries
    • Monitoring, analyzing, and reconciling various balance sheet accounts
    • Working with internal customers to gather and provide information
    • Maintaining accounting controls and company policies
    • Prepare departmental reporting/reconciliations as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements :

    • BA/BS + 2 years of relevant accounting experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education..
    • Understanding of the fundamentals of accounting, financial reporting under US GAAP.

    Preferred Qualifications :

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Experience with ORACLE a plus.
    • Advanced computer skills preferred: to include Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, IF, Macros). Hands-on experience with ORACLE financial reporting system a plus.
    • Consistently meets deadlines on a timely basis.
    • Ability to analyze and interpret data, and effectively communicate findings/results.
    • Must be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and multi-task.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
