    Solar Impact is looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team! This role performs electrical work related to the maintenance, repair, and installation of solar energy systems for both residential and commercial clients. You should be able to perform inspections and conduct assessments of electrical systems, as well as read and interpret blueprints. Candidates must have a strong familiarity with wiring, commonly used electrical tools, and various electrical components. This position requires completion of an electrician apprenticeship program and a minimum of 3 years of previous electrical and construction experience. Journeyman certification is strongly preferred. Responsibilities: • Demonstrate Solar Impact Core Values throughout all tasks • Adhere to Solar Impact policies and procedures at all times • Execute the installation of electrical equipment in accordance with NEC guidelines • Apply a variety of tools and techniques for the repair and maintenance of electrical systems • Utilize expertise to determine optimal methods for installing new electrical systems • Provide guidance and supervision to apprentice electricians • Ensure full compliance with safety requirements and OSHA regulations • Collaborate effectively with a team to complete all phases of solar installations, including job preparation, roof layout, racking installation, and system monitoring setup • Maintain organization and upkeep of tools and components on installation vehicles • Participate in both online and in-person safety, electrical, and solar installation training sessions • Uphold a safe and well-organized work environment • Demonstrate professional and positive communication with customers • Assess completed projects to pinpoint opportunities for improvement • Be willing to work overtime, nights, weekends, travel out of town, and meet project deadlines as necessary Qualifications: Required: • A valid certification as a Journeyman Electrician or equivalent experience • Familiarity with the NEC • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical work and construction • Ability to read electrical blueprints • Capable of working safely at heights, including on roofs and ladders, while adhering to Solar Impact and OSHA safety protocols • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurability for driving company vehicles. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to meet attendance requirements • Successful completion of a background/MVR check and pre-employment physical and drug screen • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Attention to detail Preferred: • Proficiency with computers, preferably MAC/iOS systems • Previous experience in solar and/or roofing • OSHA 10 certification • Experience as a crew lead Compensation: $25 - $35 per hour DOE
