Journeyman Framing Carpenter

We have continued to grow and expand in a wide range of fields over the past 50 years, covering everything from industrial industries, solar projects, high rise offices, multi-use condominiums, and commercial manufacturing projects.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a highly skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team. As a Framing Carpenter, you will be responsible for building interior partition walls, interior demising walls, fire rated walls, structural work for HVAC units, exterior walls including structural, preparing equipment, selecting suitable for securing frames and tracks. You may also be required to oversee general laborers.

FRAMER RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Study construction specifications to determine installation requirements and procedures.

● Preparing equipment and tools, including scaffolding ,ladders, straightedges, hand tools and power tools.

● Chalk Lining references lines and points to level frames and furring channels.

● Measuring and cutting runners, studs, and furring channels to required sizes.

● Good understanding of overall construction methods, reading schedules and filling out timesheets.

● Have a thorough understanding in reading project floor plans, fixture placement drawings and construction drawings.

● Proactive in problem solving.

● Maintain cleanliness of each job when onsite.

● Self organized and proactive in each job

● Ensuring compliance with construction industry standards and safety standards.

YOU SHOULD APPLY IF YOU MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

● High School Diploma or GED

● 10+ years of Construction Work (Required)

● 5+ years in Framing Work (Required)

● 5+ years of experience in working with specialized tools such as pneumatic nailing guns, cutting torches and hammer drills (Required)

● In-Depth knowledge of fasteners

● Organized and time management skills (Required)

● Must have a Valid Drivers License (Required)

● Proficient understanding of construction document layout and detailing (Required) ● Metal Stud Framing Experience a plus

Job Type:

● Compensation based on experience.

● Must be willing to travel from site to site

● Full-time

● Pay: $26.00 - $40.00 per hour
