    AMS Workplace Technology is seeking a junior level software project coordinator to help manage software implementation projects for customers. This Project Coordinator role will work together with a Project Lead on the design side to help manage typical project management tasks.

    Note: Please consider before applying if you are overqualified for this junior level position. We are also looking for a candidate who can reasonably commute to the office in Fairfield, NJ at least twice per week.

    Responsibilities

    • Create and manage project schedules and budgets from initiation phase to closeout phase

    • Identify and track action items, deliverables, and key milestones for client and internal projects

    • Collaborate with Project Leads to ensure project scope is clearly defined and documented in a project proposal

    • Document and implement AMS standard project management processes for other employees

    • Procure purchase orders from clients and track the status of client invoices and payments

    • Communicate project status, budget, issues and risks to client decision makers/stakeholders and AMS leadership

    • Develop and analyze course of action (COA) plans with AMS consultants and present solutions to client stakeholders

    • Track project burn rates and identify potential budget risks

    • Document meeting agendas and notes for client and internal status meetings

    Skills

    • Project Management software, such as MS Project or something similar

    • Understanding of SDLC and software development methodologies (Waterfall and Agile)

    • MS Office Suite (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word)

    • Effective and proactive communicative skills

    • Task and goal-oriented individual with great attention to detail and ability to multitask

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent Preferred

    • 1+ years Project Management Experience Preferred

    • Familiarity with software development projects

    Position Details

    • Full-time - 40 hours/week
