    Summary

    Pacific Electric has an immediate opening for a full-time Junior Accountant with SAP experience. This position requires an enthusiastic quick learner, a problem solver, strong math and reconciliation skills, and a positive attitude. The Junior Accountant will also be working directly with the Senior Accountant to ensure all tasks are performed in a timely manner and within the parameters of the procedures set in place.

    Responsibilities:

    Accounts Payable

    Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment

    Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry

    Generate purchase orders when necessary

    Strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely payments

    Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process

    Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting

    Invoicing and Billing: Generate and send out invoices to clients in a timely manner. Verify the accuracy of billing data and resolve discrepancies as needed.

    Collections: Contact clients regarding overdue payments and follow up to ensure timely collection. Negotiate payment plans and terms with clients as necessary.

    Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues. Chargebacks

    Assist in Financial Recordkeeping: Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system. Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and journals.

    Support Month-End Close: Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end financial statements. Perform reconciliations of bank accounts and other general ledger accounts.

    Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, compile, and analyze data from various sources.

    Ad Hoc Tasks Provide assistance on special projects and tasks as directed by the Senior Accountant.

    Qualifications and Skills

    Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.

    A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

    Strong customer service skills with the ability to negotiate as needed

    Ability to calculate and manage accounting figures

    Basic understanding of accounting principles with proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.

    Education and Experience Preferred Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.

    Minimum 2 years working experience as Accounts Receivable Clerk, or accountant

    The expected salary for this position is $66,560 – 69,500 annually
