    Our boutique firm is hiring an associate attorney who will support us by drafting documents, researching issues, staying up to date on evolving law, and engaging with clients as needed. The ideal candidate will have extensive drafting experience, a background in intellectual property law, and an understanding of the entertainment industry. Our firm works with a wide variety of creative people and businesses. Both attention to detail and engaging interpersonal skills are a must for this position. Please note: We are only accepting applicants with experience in intellectual property law, particularly in drafting contracts and agreements. Responsibilities: • Draft and review contracts including independent contractor agreements, service agreements, license agreements, and entertainment industry documents. • Form LLCs and corporations, including completing and submitting filings and drafting formation documents such as operating agreements, bylaws, and related instruments. • Assist with the transaction and sale of businesses including buy-sell agreements, membership transfer documents, and non-compete agreements. • Prosecute trademark and copyright registrations, manage intellectual property portfolios, and facilitate the transfer of intellectual property. • Participate in client meetings, engage in direct interaction with clients, and manage client files. • Prepare situation-specific correspondence such as cease and desist letters, demand letters, and memos to clients. • Customize terms of use and privacy policies, including staying up to date on evolving privacy and related laws. • Collaborate with partners, paralegals, and legal assistants on a variety of projects. Qualifications: • MUST have experience in intellectual property law and with drafting contracts and agreements. • Exceptional writing skills with flawless grammar, punctuation, and spelling. • Strong background in entertainment law, intellectual property, and business law. • Outgoing and engaging personality, eager to work with and help clients. • Self-motivated, independent operator who takes initiative and is driven to produce results. • Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to handling client matters. • Desire to build a book of business that can support the firm and your practice. • Lifelong curiosity and desire to keep learning, developing, and growing. • 2-4 years of law firm experience. • Completion of a J.D. degree from an accredited law school. • Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state. Compensation: $90,000 - $105,000 yearly
