Junior Customer Service and Logistics Support Luxury Retail Showroom - Furniture & Lighting
Cosulich Interiors & Antiques, a family-run business specializing in one-of-a-kind vintage and contemporary Italian home furnishings, is seeking a full-time Customer Service and Logistics Support to join our team in New York, NY.
This is an on-site, customer-facing role in a luxury showroom environment with an open layout. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting and excel in providing exceptional service while managing logistics, we’d love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction: Greeting clients when they come into the showroom. Handle post-sale inquiries, including payment processing, order updates, and shipment confirmations, via calls and emails.
Shipping Coordination: Request and confirm shipping quotes with transport companies, coordinate deliveries, and track shipments to ensure timely arrivals and timely quotations for potential sales leads.
Logistics Management: Plan and manage import shipments from Italy, and re-routing orders to clients, track inventory, and liaise with vendors and carriers to maintain efficient operations.
Reporting and Collaboration: Provide daily updates to management, maintain shipment records in digital databases, manage delivery deadlines and claims.
Customer Service Excellence: Assist clients with scheduling deliveries, resolving shipment issues, and providing detailed product and order information.
Additional Duties: Oversee office supply levels, generate new leads, and support warehouse operations by communicating delivery requirements and providing documentation.
Requirements and Skills:
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience in retail customer service and logistics management.
Previous experience in a high-end furniture or lighting showroom is highly desirable.
Knowledge of design principles or a passion for interior design is a plus.
Basic accounting knowledge (percentages, discounts, taxes).
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in iOS and database management systems (sheets, airtable).
Knowledge of inventory management, products such as furniture and lighting goods, sales cycles, and shipping/logistics, including customs.
Comfortable and confident in working in an open-layout showroom environment, interacting with clients, reporting daily and collaborating with the team.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive luxury retail environment.
Ability to follow procedures and instructions thoroughly
