    Job Summary

    You will be responsible for performing design and development engineering assignments related to hardware products and systems which includes the development of new products and/or updates to existing products. You must have basic knowledge of and ability to apply principles theories, and concepts of narrow technical domain. You will solve routine technical problems by following established procedures and policies and support the development and delivery of program information to include the Hardware Breakdown Structure. Coordinating with other systems engineering, and procurement disciplines for the planning and delivery of program equipment to the field. You will develop system drawings and cable point to point diagrams to support field installation teams. You may support tasks involving performing system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated logistics support for program systems. You should be able to provide status on assigned schedules and supports Engineering Change Request (ECR) efforts as required and have the ability to manage time and resources in order to meet assigned deadlines.

    Responsibilities

    Develop Platform level architectures and design requirements, schedules, and cost targets

    Develop the necessary engineering documentation to support the designs

    Plan, design and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment

    Support software engineering to integrate the software and firmware into products

    Coordinate with engineering firms in developing design criteria for products

    Estimate costs for equipment, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs

    Coordinate with customers, engineers, managers, etc. to define scopes of work, changes and specify and order needed materials

    Maintain frequent communication with supervisor regarding job/project work and cost status

    Resolve job changes and delays to provide alternate solutions to maintain schedules for jobs/projects

    Devise tests to use for evaluating, debugging, and checking equipment and systems for dependable conformance

    Qualifications

    Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

    Technical Proficiencies

    Required

    Willing to travel for technical support/installations

    Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

    Able to collaborate with a team or work individually on assigned projects

    Strong mechanical and electrical skills

    Demonstrated strength in digital & analog circuits, basic signal integrity

    Demonstrated strength with lab equipment including, but not limited to: DMM, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
