    Overview: We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated high school students who are interested in becoming Junior Firefighters. As a Junior Firefighter, you will learn the basics of firefighting and emergency response, working alongside trained professionals to support your community during emergencies. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience, develop leadership skills, and make a meaningful impact in your community. ****

    Responsibilities:

    1. Fire Suppression: * Participate in controlled drills and training exercises, helping with fire simulations and learning firefighting techniques. * Help with fire prevention efforts, including distributing fire safety information and participating in community fire safety programs. * Act in a supportive capacity during emergency situations, assisting senior firefighters with gathering tools and setting up rehabilitation.
    2. Training and Professional Development: * Attend regular training sessions designed for Junior Firefighters, where you will learn fire safety, first aid, search and rescue operations, and more. * Stay informed about advancements in firefighting technology, procedures, and regulations. * Pursue opportunities for additional certifications and specialized training to enhance skills and knowledge.
    3. Team Collaboration: * Work alongside volunteer firefighters, emergency medical teams, and other community responders to ensure safety and support at the scene of an emergency. * Participate in team-building activities to strengthen relationships with other Junior Firefighters and learn the importance of working together in challenging situations.

    Qualifications:

    • Must be a current high school student (ages 16-17).
    • Must have parental/guardian consent to participate.
    • Must pass a physical.
    • Physical fitness and the ability to participate in training activities.
    • Ability to work well as part of a team, with a positive attitude and willingness to help.
    • Strong interest in learning about fire safety and emergency response.
    • Must demonstrate good communication skills and responsibility.
