LLG prides itself on providing excellent, personalized, and timely services to its clients in navigating complex immigration processes. Legal services are offered bilingually in both English and Spanish.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Junior Legal Assistant plays an important role in supporting the Legal Team to track, manage, and process immigration cases for clients around the world. The Junior Legal Assistant primarily manages cases, and assists in various administrative and preparatory tasks. The Junior Legal Assistant reports to the Operational Team Lead and the presiding Attorney and collaborates closely to ensure the smooth execution of immigration services and client support activities, within mandated timelines.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Prepares, manages, and organizes cases following standardized procedures and templates.
· Coordinates client and visa appointments, prepares supporting documentation, and manages client profiles.
· Assists in gathering, organizing, and uploading information/documents, manages client communication channels, and follows up on missing information.
· Drafts and assembles cases and documentation for review by Senior Legal Assistants and/or the Operational Team Lead, including completing forms, preparing letters, supporting evidence, and other legal documents.
· Drafts case specific documents summarizing and verifying client experiences and expertise.
· Assists attorneys and senior legal assistants in tracking and managing immigration cases, including preparing, organizing, reviewing, and filing immigration petitions, forms, applications, and supporting documents within mandated timelines.
· Drafts and proofreads legal documents, correspondence, and forms related to immigration matters.
· Assists in the preparation of evidentiary documents and exhibits for immigration filings and proceedings.
· Maintains and organizes client files (digital and paper) ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
· Conducts legal research and reports on immigration laws, regulations, and procedures.
· Utilizes, tracks, files, and coordinates case work within the firm’s digital Case Management System.
· Coordinates with government agencies and other organizations to obtain necessary documents and information.
· Communicates with clients regarding required documentation, case updates and deadlines.
· Prepares attorneys and senior team members for client meetings and business trips by briefing and providing relevant case materials in advance.
· Updates self on current immigration laws, regulations, procedures, and requirements.
· Provides general administrative support as requested, including answering/responding to phone calls and emails.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
· High School diploma or college
· Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a legal environment, preferably in immigration law or a related field.
· Demonstrated fluency in verbal and written business English and Spanish. Must be fully bi-lingual in English and Spanish (both spoken and written).
· Experience working with case management software and legal databases preferred.
Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:
· Associate Certification in paralegal studies, or a related field.
· One (1) to three (3) years of experience providing a combination of client support and customer services preferably in the legal or related service sectors.
· Demonstrated experience working within fast-paced and high-volume workloads and effectively managing competing priorities, deadlines, and timelines.

· Familiarity with immigration procedures and documentation requirements preferred.
· Demonstrated client relationship management skills.
· Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills.
· Evidence of written and verbal communication skills and abilities, in English and Spanish.
· Demonstrated ability to work efficiently independently and in team environments.
· Demonstrated ability to conduct legal research and draft accurate and well-written legal documents, correspondence, and forms.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
