We are searching for a junior attorney to join our Employment/Personal Injury practice team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in legal research and writing, with an emphasis on supporting litigation efforts. This role will involve assisting with case preparation, drafting legal documents, and conducting extensive legal research to support ongoing litigation. The Junior Litigation Attorney will work closely with senior attorneys and contribute to various stages of litigation, from discovery through trial preparation. Our team consists of empathetic, innovative, and determined individuals who are dedicated to achieving the best results for clients. If you are a skilled Litigation Attorney with the ability to conduct comprehensive legal analysis, draft clear and effective legal documents, and utilize strong research skills to interpret case law, this position could be a perfect match for you. The compensation package for this role is between $70,000 and $100,000, inclusive of bonuses, health benefits, and 401(k) contributions. - We pay all bar dues and CLE fees, and there may be relocation assistance available. Responsibilities: When assigned, is responsible for delivering competent legal services, which include, but are not limited to: • Preparing complex pleadings, motions, briefs, orders, and other legal documents, along with reviewing and approving pleadings, motions, orders, and other legal materials drafted by paralegals and/or legal assistants • Examine case files and client documents to assist in developing litigation strategies. Offer analytical support by identifying key legal issues and recommending relevant legal arguments. • Managing and evaluating the discovery process • Performing legal research • Outlining depositions • Preparing legal memoranda and creating case outlines for depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and hearings/trials. • Coordinating with witnesses and collecting evidence. • Offering guidance and addressing legal inquiries from support staff. • Oversee cases assigned to you and manage or delegate case-related tasks to legal assistants/paralegals as needed • Support the contingency team in achieving monthly complaint and demand targets, as well as monthly revenue objectives Qualifications: • The ideal candidate should possess a four-year bachelor’s degree • A Juris Doctor's degree is required • The candidate must be licensed to practice law in the state of West Virginia Compensation: $70,000 - $100,000 yearly
