Job Description
Tesis USA LLC, is hiring candidates for a Junior automation engineer position in Northeast Houston, with the following knowledge and abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronic or similar
- 1 to 4 years of experience in the electrical and automation industrial environment (this is a must).
- Knowledge of Low and high voltage, power and electrical supply on the production/industrial process.
- The ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Knowledge in Rockwell automation technologies (Allen bradley), PLC programing and HMI design is a must (The candidate will be evaluated on this topic).
- Proven initial experience in electrical cabinet mounting, terminations and conduit.
- Conduct routine tests, evaluate plant machinery and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and instrumentation issues.
- maintain sensors, critical process production equipment and ensure the proper communication of them with PLC.
- Ensure the correct operation of equipment s and their connectivity (power and network).
- Maintain strict maintenance schedules for critical systems, logging all repairs and inspections.
- Quickly identify non-operative and malfunctioning systems before damage can occur.
- Must have Electrical Experience.
- Must be able to use diagnostic tools for the analysis of the solution of automation problems. (This is required)
- Sequential PLC programming.
- Knowledge of PLC and HMI communication networks: Profinet, Ethernet, ControlNet, Devicenet, Profibus DP, Modbus Plus, etc.
- System diagnostic programming.
- Advanced level knowledge of the use of hardware/software for Scadas.
- Troubleshoot test failures to determine root causes and develop processes to avoid repeat failure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Electrical field activities
- Electrical Commissioning
- Troubleshoot, enhance and support electrical field engineering team
- Ensure quality and compliance to parameters and codes.
- Interact with electrical engineers and staff members to identify, define and resolve developmental issues
- Specifies materials for procurement and monitors material procurement processes to ensure timeliness to support scheduled construction
- Reviews and interprets design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level, and correct technical execution of the work
- Understand electrical schematics and locate equipment in the production area
- Use of electrical tools to understand issues and correct them
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
