Our lending team is experiencing tremendous growth and we are looking for a results-oriented junior loan officer who can generate new business and referrals and assist our senior loan officers in creating and closing loan packages. Lending or mortgage industry experience is not required but is a tremendous asset. Responsibilities: • Meet sales expectations, generate new business, get referrals, and monitor sales pipeline • Collect financial information in order to prepare the loan file, assist applicants with loan applications, and assess applicants’ financial situation and eligibility • Liaise between realtors, senior MLO / mortgage loan originator, underwriter, mortgage lenders or mortgage bankers, and loan processors on behalf of the applicant as needed to assure the loan transaction is successful • Discuss options with senior mortgage loan officer/ MLO to make a recommendation of which home loan products are best suited depending on applicant’s financial status • Create personal relationships with loan applicants - offer additional information and answer questions about home mortgage products • Lead Prospecting: Engage with a consistent flow of company-provided leads, developing them into qualified prospects. • Client Communication: Build and maintain relationships with potential clients, guiding them through the initial stages of the mortgage process. • Conversion Focus: Leverage your prospecting efforts to turn leads into applications and, eventually, closed loans. • Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior loan officers, underwriters, and processors to learn the ropes and ensure a smooth client experience. Qualifications: • Knowledge of guidelines for loan programs and various types of loans such as FHA, commercial loans, VA, etc is an asset, but not required • Superb relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills are needed • Experience in real estate, lending institutions, credit unions, financial services, or related fields is desired, but not required • Some college (Bachelor’s) is preferred, but a high school diploma or equivalent is required • Must be willing to complete training program to obtain NMLS/ MLO/ state license • Eager to learn and grow in the mortgage industry. • Strong communication and relationship-building skills. • Self-motivated with a focus on achieving goals. • Previous sales or customer service experience is a plus, but not required. • Ability to obtain an NMLS license. Compensation: $45,000 - $65,000+ yearly
