Responsibilities: • Assist in the handling of estate planning, trust administration, probate, and conservatorship cases while working in Newport Beach, CA, US. • Prepare all necessary documents required for court hearings, client files, initial drafts of pleadings, and other legal paperwork accurately and promptly. • Maintain regular communication with clients, courts, financial advisors, trustees, law firms, and relevant personnel as part of daily responsibilities. • Ensure timely filing of documents with the Court, service of documents by mail, and coordination of court appearances efficiently. • Participate in client meetings, including those related to Estate Planning signings, to provide essential support and assistance. • Diligently monitor the progress of cases, track deadlines, and keep a close eye on important milestones throughout the legal process. • Accurately record and update information in the law firm’s practice management system to maintain organized and detailed records. • Offer support to the office by managing phone calls, assisting with special projects, and handling general administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications: • To be considered for the Junior Paralegal position in Newport Beach, CA, US, a minimum of 6 months of experience working in a law firm is required. • Applicants should hold a Paralegal Certification or qualify as a paralegal under California Business & Professions Code §6450. • The ideal candidate must excel in setting priorities, managing their workload, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced office setting. • Strong communication skills, exceptional organization, and keen attention to detail are essential qualities for the role. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is necessary, and familiarity with Actionstep is a plus. • Candidates must have a reliable commute to our Newport Beach location or be willing to relocate before starting the position.
