BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer. This is a full-time, remote role with travel to other Government or Contractor facilities as required. The average workday is 8 hours and the window in which those 8 hours may be scheduled is between 6:00am hours and 6:00pm hours eastern time, Monday through Friday except for Government Holidays with the core hours (9am to 3pm) being covered.

The Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to drive quality assurance in an Agile development environment. This role focuses on test automation, technical implementations, and integrating quality practices into development workflows. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, a passion for automation, and a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Automation Testing:

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Appium to validate application functionality.

Integration into CI/CD Pipelines:

Implement automated tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for seamless development and testing workflows.

Performance and Load Testing:

Conduct performance and load tests to evaluate system reliability, scalability, and behavior under various conditions.

API Testing:

Test APIs for functionality, security, and performance using tools like Postman or SoapUI, ensuring robust integration between system components.

Debugging and Collaboration:

• Work closely with developers to identify and resolve root causes of defects, ensuring issues are addressed efficiently.

Test Framework Development:

• Build and manage test frameworks to enhance efficiency, coverage, and consistency in testing processes.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation and Agile methodologies.

Proficiency in programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).

Expertise in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).

Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, or Docker.

Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a collaborative mindset.
