Job Title: Sales Tax Accountant
Location: Hendersonville, TN
Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 + Bonus

Manufacturing company is seeking a Sales Tax Accountant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong Excel skills and a desire to work with multistate sales tax to gain valuable experience and progress toward a higher role in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and filing multistate sales tax returns (not income tax).
• Ensure compliance with various state and local sales tax regulations.
• Perform data analysis and reporting to support sales tax initiatives.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide tax-related insights.
• Prepare sales tax reconciliations and help maintain accurate records.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting or 2+ years related experience
• Strong Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and other advanced functions.
  
• Ability to work well in a team environment and thrive in a fast-paced, multistate environment.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Multistate sales tax experience (preferably Tennessee, Kentucky, and other states).
• Candidates with a strong understanding of sales tax (not income tax) are highly desired.

Location: 5 days a week onsite for the first 90 days, then hybrid.

Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 + benefits 

Bonus: Annual Christmas bonus based on time with the company and good standing
