District Assessment Coordinator
Job Description
THE OPPORTUNITY
As a member of the Regional Team, the District Assessment Coordinator (DAC) is responsible for planning and executing on school- and region-level assessment cycles. In this role, the DAC will have an opportunity to develop deep connections with regional leaders, school leaders, and teachers to meet challenging academic goals and implement organizational data strategies around data-driven decision making and instructional practices through analyses and capacity building at the schools. The District Assessment Coordinator works closely with the school based teams to drive results across campuses. This is a full-time position, based at the KIPP Minnesota Regional Office.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities of the KIPP Minnesota District Assessment Coordinator include, but are not limited to the following:
ACADEMICS AND ASSESSMENT
Serve as KIPP Minnesota’s District Assessment Coordinator (DAC) with the coordination and administration state assessments including MCAs, MTAS, and ACCESS
Manage other district wide assessments including NWEA MAP
Assist school leadership teams in the use of academic data, analytical tools, and analysis to drive student growth and achievement
Work with teammates to analyze current and future data needs to improve instructional and operational planning
Assist instructional teams in communicating academic achievement and other data effectively to internal and external stakeholders
Complete other data and assessment responsibilities as assigned
Data Platform Management
Understand and develop KIPP Minnesota’s data and systems integration processes in order to ensure all systems are being executed properly
Lead day-to-day backend management of all KIPP Minnesota digital platforms including our SIS (PowerSchool), assessment tools (Aimsweb, STEP, etc.) and all other academic platforms.
Serve as data liaison to the KIPP Foundation, managing all KF data requests
Develop and update documentation to assist in using data collection tools, management, and integration processes
Complete other data and assessment responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications

Strong project and time management skills; ability to effectively backwards plan, juggle multiple priorities with great attention to detail, and deliver consistent and timely results
Sense of humility and customer service mindset
Strong communication skills - conveys information in a way that is strategic, honest, timely, and respectful
Excellent computer skills, including advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and the Google Suite
Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g. Tableau)
Experience training and communicating data and analytics products to audiences of varying levels of expertise
Desire to continuously learn and increase effectiveness as a professional
