Job Description
The KIPP NYC Leader Fellow program is geared towards supporting current Deans, Leaders, and Assistant Principals in developing school wide thinking skills including team leadership, leading through others, instructional coaching skills, and transitioning from single content area/grade thinking to building school wide systems and structures. Entering its seventh year, current and former Leader Fellows hold a variety of roles within KIPP NYC ranging from Teacher Leaders, Deans, Associate Directors to Assistant Principals, Principals and Managing Directors.
The Leader Fellow program operates within a set of KIPP NYC leadership development programs, all with the goal of strengthening the leadership pipeline and developing a transparent pathway to leadership. Leader Fellows are full-time members of their school and will have opportunities to practice the skills and competencies guiding the Leader Fellow program.
As part of your application, you will be required to submit short response questions reflecting on the KIPP Leadership Readiness Criteria. Please refer to the KIPP NYC Leadership Rubric & KIPP Leadership Framework and Competency Model while answering these questions.
