    Job Description

    Remote Bioinformatics Analyst II JP21486 $38-$40/hr 6-month W2 contract (possibility of extension) Job Description: Project title: human snRNAseq brain data analysis - Hyman lab Project Objective (external): • AbbVie has access to large snRNAseq data sets of the human brain for Alzheimer's Disease and other diseases. • Up to now the AbbVie internal computational analysis was focused on selected cell-types. Expanding the analysis to other cell types and additional data integration will contribute to realize the full potential of this data set and impact future target identification. • The objective of this project is three-fold: * Expand the analysis to other cell types. * Support additional analysis and integration within and across data sets and cell types. * Accelerate the preparation for publications by creating visualization, tables, and data for upload to repositories and long-term storage. Main deliverables: • Work closely with an AbbVie Computational Biologist to process, analyze and integrate large human snRNAseq data sets and perform follow-up analysis. • Support of preparation of publication, i.e., by creating create visualizations, tables. • Support formatting data and results for publication and long-term storage. The top 5 skills/requirements this person is required have: * Good knowledge of R and/or python programming * Experience with data analysis, data handling and processing of sc/snRNAseq data analysis * Basic understanding of OMICS data * Proven to work independently Years of experience, education, and/or certification is required: • Bachelor, with 2 year of hands-on experience • Master, with hands-on experience (might be master thesis or project work) Nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience, education, or certification: • Hands- on experience with interactive visualizations and tool development in R shiny Environment that this person will be working in (i.e. group setting vs individual role): • Part of the international CompBio Neuro team • Based in Cambridge, Lake County or remote • Dedicated PhD level scientist as supervisor for the project duration Company Description About Kyyba: Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Farmington Hills, MI, Kyyba has a global presence delivering high-quality resources and top-notch recruiting services, enabling businesses to effectively respond to organizational changes and technological advances.
