    Role Description: Human Resources is a One-Person Department looking for a new leader! The Human Resources Manager will support roughly 60 employees across multiple business units. This person will not only complete the routine functions of the HR Dept, but they will help drive company culture, employee-related initiatives and be involved in executive decision making.

    The ideal candidate will have three years’ experience in HR, with a thorough understanding of HR policies and procedures. The bulk of the role will involve multi-state payroll processing & reporting, attendance monitoring, benefits administration, training & development, compensation, and conflict resolution. There is an opportunity for developing and refining systems.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.

    Prepares and processes weekly payroll; reconciles payroll-related accounts with Accounting Department.

    Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

    Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

    Oversees and manages the Company's performance appraisal system and processes.

    Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.

    Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.

    Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

    Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

    Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Proficient with Google Suite including Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Drive

    Intermediate level of excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPS, etc.)

    Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS systems.

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

    A minimum of three years of Human Resources experience is required.

    A minimum of three years of human resource management or related management experience preferred.

    PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.

    Salary Range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 annually, based on experience.

    Candidates must be available Monday-Friday from 9:30 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time.

    This is a remote position.
