    ** Job Overview:**

    We are looking for a passionate and forward-thinking Intern who has a strong interest in hospital business development or is looking for professional development and personal advancement by working at a top academic medical center in the world. This opportunity will let the intern gain an insight into the US healthcare system and learn about the strategies and tactics in business development, global marketing, and hospital advisory services.

    ** Program Highlights:**

    • ** Training**

    All applicants pass the interview will get the opportunity of a comprehensive training about US hospitals, and international business.

    • ** Mentorship**

    All interns will work closely with their mentors, and complete individual projects. Mentors will provide individualized guidance for interns not only on project completion, but also on their long-term career development.

    • Bonus/pay/job offer

    This position is unpaid. High performance interns will get bonus and/or convert to paid internship or full-time employee.

    • ** Visa sponsorship (No lottery required)**

    Employed international students will receive H1B visa sponsorship from USC, which is a non-profit higher education institution exempted from the annual 85,000 visa cap.

    ** Responsibilities:**

    • ** Program Evaluation** * Evaluate the current International Health programs and develop improvement strategy.
    • ** Market research** * Use data analytics techniques to choose one of the countries from Keck Medicine of USC’s target areas. * Create a business plan to explain the strategy under guidance.
    • ** Business Development** * Reach out and engage with potential business partners to discover collaboration opportunities. * Build a sustainable business model.

    Successful candidates are expected to work up to 40 hours per week in summer or 20 hours in spring and fall semesters; international student candidate does not need to apply for CPT for this position since it is based on-campus.

    ** Requirements:**

    • Background / areas of study related to business administration, finance, marketing, public health, hospital administration, public policy, healthcare, etc., or is willing to start a career in the above-mentioned fields.
    • Organized, dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Self-starter.

    ** Preferred:**

    • Knowledge of healthcare industry in a certain country.
    • Spanish, Mandarin, Armenian, Korean, Arabian language skills.
