Job Description

Kellenberger Electric Inc. (KEI) is seeking an experienced ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR/PROJECT MANAGER to join our growing company. This position is responsible for coordinating the bidding process and bid accuracy for job acquisition, as well as project management of procured jobs. Responsibilities also include analyzing electrical design, specifications, proposals, and subcontractor quotes, submittals, change orders and communication from the office to the field. This is a full-time position for someone who is a self-starter with strong team, interpersonal and computer skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop bid packages while following company guidelines
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, details, and specifications
• Create and maintain records of estimating takeoff output
• Identify strategies to create bid advantages
• Consulting with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
• Conduct site visits/walk-throughs for bid accuracy
• Project management

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• 5-years estimating experience in the electrical contracting field (required)
• Experience estimating both commercial and industrial projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• An understanding of building and electrical codes
• Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred, not required)
• Autocad experience for design build projects
