Position - Equipment Demonstrator Operator

Location: Miami - Dept.: General Line Sales

We are seeking an Equipment Demonstrator Operator to provide support to the Sales department by demonstrating to customers the features and benefits of Caterpillar machinery and equipment at the direction of management and to assist in field assembly and/or troubleshooting problems.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to operate machinery with expertise during demonstrations so that all features and benefits are highlighted.
• Inspect machines prior to delivery to the demo site when possible.
• Coordinate with the Sales Representative involved to determine what the most beneficial techniques should be to achieve the desired results.
• Complete a written demonstration report after completion detailing the results achieved and the time required. Forward copy to the appropriate branch Sales Manager and the General Sales Manager.
• Assist in the instruction of customer operators as directed.
• Maintain awareness of competitive machine designs and features.
• Provide input during product meetings involving Caterpillar and Kelly Tractor, Co. service personnel.
• Extend full cooperation to all company departments to service customers to the highest level.
• Keep the General Sales Manager informed as to product performance and evaluation.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of the operation, safety, and maintenance of the equipment being operated.

Requirements:

• 5 years minimal of operating heavy equipment needed.
• Must possess the ability to safely operate equipment in the presence of customers and management, ensuring the safety of all persons, equipment, and property.
• Must adhere to all safety regulations and report any violations to management immediately.
• Must be able to walk distances up to one-half mile without difficulty, lift weight up to 50 pounds easily.
• Be able to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
• High school graduate.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Prior work experience preferred working in or around heavy equipment and construction.
• Be computer savvy.
• Have a valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Must be willing to travel
