Camp Schultz is a very close knit, family owned business that creates an environment where pets want to vacation! We provide a wide range of services ranging from overnight boarding, long-term stays, socializing with pet to pet interactions and activities, as well as daycare and grooming. We pride ourselves with being a very down to earth and community based company and want any addition to our team to feel comfortable and right at home.
Our receptionists are the "face" of Camp Schultz. Being that they are the first interactions our clients have when needing our services, it is imperative that the receptionists have a welcoming and positive attitude. Our office staff have the ability to make each of our clients feel comfortable when leaving their four legged family members in our care by providing detailed descriptions of our services and the day to day routines their pets will be participating in through out their stay with us. This includes our walk in clients and clients that might be calling over the phone to get more information about what we do and potentially becoming new clients of Camp Schultz.
Our Kennel Technicians are the back bone of our business and are the silent hero's in the background. Our kennel techs are the employees who spend the most amount of time with our pets that are boarding with us or our daily daycare pups. The position is an entry level position the really just requires an ambition to provide the highest quality of care to each one of our pets while being adaptable and willing to learn and grown within our company and the pet care industry.
The ideal candidate for this position will be able to:
Multitask between checking dogs in and answering phone calls
Problem solve quickly when in stressful situations
Have a strong and coherent phone etiquette
Comfortable with answering clients questions and interacting with them and their pets
Navigate minimal computer programs (Microsoft Word/Excel, Gingr, etc)
Have a positive attitude and able to take direction
Pay attentions to details when checking in pets by looking out for potential medical issues
Able to relay client's request thoroughly and in a simple easy to understand interpretation
Follow specific protocols in regards to sanitizing and disinfecting kennels/play areas where pets frequent
Control dogs of all breeds and sizes and know how to use slip leads, gentle leads, prong collars, easy walk harnesses, etc.
Follow feeding and medication schedules as directed by clients and/or veterinary specifications
Work in a team based environment and maintain a friendly and fun atmosphere with other employees
Have a flexible schedule and have open availability on weekends and holidays
Keep records of each pet and their eating habits/change of behavior/and bowel movements to ensure that each pet is in optimal health and if anything out of the ordinary occurs that the proper person is notified.
Develop an extensive understanding of dog body language and communication
Adapt to an extremely fast paced environment and schedule to ensure that all duties necessary are completed in a timely manner
Maintain basic hygiene and always present themselves as an ambassador for Camp Schultz when coming to and from work
Communicate effectively with managers and coworkers
Have basic customer service skills when greeting clients dropping off/picking up for daycare and boarding
Comfortable working in a high volume environment and understand that constant vocalization of the pets at our facility is most often an indications that everything is running smoothly.
Legally work in the United States
Provide necessary documents authorizing work (if under the age of 18)
Transport themselves to and from the job site as well as have proof of a valid drivers license
