Hiring those with experience feeding, medicating, and baths with >1 year of experience at $14 or those with no experience at $11/hour. We love to train, promote and develop our team members ! Experience managing daycare groups is preferred, but you do not need any previous experience, just a positive attitude, are hard-working, have a good work ethic, good time management, and welcome feedback to grow. We train the right candidates on the main necessary skill of reading dog body language. This position is perfect for anyone interested in learning more about managing dog behavior and the obedience of dogs in play groups. The chosen candidate will be working directly with our dog daycare groups for 2-3 hours each shift and our boarding/kenneled dogs before and after daycare and maintaining the cleanliness of the facility. We aren't looking for just anyone who wants a job, but those who are passionate about animals and can see themselves growing in responsibility and leadership over the next 1+ years with us. Responsibilities: Daily tasks include: • Providing engagement and supervision for dogs in play groups of up to 30 dogs for up to 3 hours a shift • Facilitating daily care for dogs in boarding including exercising and taking them out for activities (among other tasks) • Maintaining cleanliness of our play yards and facility • Minimizing the stress of the dogs in our care by providing effective management and being responsive to their needs • Maintaining accurate records in Gingr and activity schedule sheets for care provided • Working as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment by using effective communication skills • Advance to a Sr Kennel Tech position to learn to feed, medicate, and do basic grooming including bathing/ drying/brushing dogs and nail trims • Many opportunities for growth and advancement from within (including leadership positions and opportunities to be cross-trained on the front desk, grooming, and dog training) • This position is ideal for someone with a love for dogs and a desire to work in a fun, fast-paced environment Qualifications: The ideal candidate: • Is a high school graduate (or has their GED) • Has excellent written and oral communication skills • Is self-motivated and can work independently • Has a proven ability to follow instructions and learn new things • Takes initiative on the job • Available alternating weekends and 1 shift on all holidays • Is able and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and be on one's feet for long periods of time • Has 2 years of previous work experience demonstrating dependability • Has worked with dogs or animals in the past (preferably) Compensation: $11 - $14 hourly
