EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Full time with benefits. This is primarily a remote work-from-home position with some potential time required in Harrisburg office and traveling.
ABOUT KDP:
Keystone Development Partnership (KDP) was founded by the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO in 2005 as 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to create labor management and workforce development programs that serve local communities. Today KDP serves this mission by helping to catalyze training and apprenticeship programs and manage regional partnerships. KDP brings together employers, unions, training providers, industry associations, community-based organizations and public agencies to collaborate on initiatives that improve labor skills and productivity.
KDP assists these organizations with all aspects of developing apprenticeship programs, including providing technical assistance on registration, customizing curriculum and courseware, identifying training partners, finding possible funding sources, validating work processes, connecting to Pre-Apprenticeship programs, and training mentors for on the job training of apprentices. We work closely with local Workforce Development Boards, the PA Apprenticeship and Training Office (ATO) and the US Department of Labor to help connect sponsors and their apprentices with additional sources of support.
KDP also developed the Registered Apprenticeship (RA) Navigator apprenticeship program for workforce intermediaries to help expand apprenticeship throughout the Commonwealth. RA Navigators are trained to help grow the apprenticeship ecosystem through regional partnerships and providing technical assistance to unions, employers, industry associations, community organizations, training providers, and the workforce system.
Our work helps ensure businesses have the skilled workers they need to thrive and unions have effective training programs for their members. More information about KDP can be found at WWW.KDPWORKS.ORG
