Operations Manager - Children's Art Studio

Kidcreate Studio offers art classes, camps and events for children. Our Dana Point studio and our mobile business are thriving, and we are now opening our second studio location in Aliso Viejo. To enable our growth while providing exceptional customer experiences, we are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee our studios and staff.
Candidates should be mature professionals with excellent references and comparable experience managing operations. Candidates must have supervisory experience.
Candidates should be extremely organized, able to take initiative and make decisions, and comfortable with computer systems and technology.
Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and must be comfortable working with teachers, business clients, school administrators, parents and children.

About Us
At Kidcreate Studio, we offer art classes, camps, workshops and art-themed birthday parties for kids. Kidcreate’s curriculum, designed by art education professionals, is tailored to match the developmental needs of children at different ages. We offer fast moving, energized classes for high energy toddlers, preschool classes that encourage children's growing independence, and school-aged classes that encourage self-confidence and creativity.
Kidcreate Studio is a franchise business. The Dana Point and Aliso Viejo studios and the South Orange County mobile operation are owned by a local entrepreneur who is passionate about kids, quality art education, and the local community.
The Operations Manager’s primary work location will be our Aliso Viejo studio, with potential for working one day per week remotely.
Schedule:
This is a full-time salaried position. Candidates should be available to work full-time hours, including some early morning, evening and weekend hours, to respond to busy times and urgent issues when they arise. Primary hours will be a typical Monday-Friday schedule.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience. Typically, 5-7 years related experience and 2+ years previous manager level leadership experience.
Supervisory experience is required.

Valid unrestricted driver's license, reliable transportation, and willing to travel throughout South Orange County
Able to lift and carry 10-20 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally

Primary Responsibilities
Manages Mobile Studio Operations
Maintains a calendar of mobile engagements
Anticipates staffing requirements, manages staff schedules
Manages supply inventory
Communicates curriculum and activity plans to teachers
Encourages teachers to provide excellent customer service within guidelines
Supervises teacher prep time and manages mobile planning and logistics
Visits mobile class locations, interacts with clients, promotes future classes
Handles problems in the workplace and mobile locations including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
Evaluates current systems and proactively identifies new opportunities to increase operational efficiency
Develop strategies that help overcome challenges and enhance the company's performance levels and profits
Participates with Owner in interviewing and evaluating teaching candidates
Onboards and trains new teaching staff
Schedules teachers to ensure class coverage and meeting productivity goals
Manages the time reporting system for teaching staff
Identifies the developmental needs of teachers and coaches, mentors, or otherwise helps others to improve their knowledge or skills
Delivers timely employee feedback and participates in the performance appraisal process
