    ** The Accounts Payable Specialist** performs high-volume Accounts Payable processing activities for the North America.


    Compensation Data :

    Non-exempt hourly salary. Overtime and Performance Bonus Eligible.

    Location: Newbury, OH. This position is 100% onsite to start, M-F, 8-5. Hybrid capability at some point in 2024 (timeframe undetermined).

    Travel: None

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Performs 3-way matching for invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.
    2. Ensures timely payments by entering invoices into JD Edwards and maintains accurate records.
    3. Manages the AP aging report to ensure invoices are processed timely and to address discrepancies.
    4. Assists with the implementation of an Accounts Payable automation system.
    5. Reconciles vendor statements monthly and assists with month end and year end close.
    6. Collaborates with vendors and cross functional teams to resolve account discrepancies or issues.
    7. Reviews employee expense reports for adherence to policy, GL account coding, and generates file export for JD Edwards.
    8. Maintains the vendor master file, collects W9 documentation and completes ACH verifications.
    9. Serves as backup for processing of non-PO invoices and daily/weekly payments.

    What you will need to succeed:

    ** Education & Qualifications:**

    • High School Diploma required; Associate Degree in Accounting or business preferred.
    • 1+ years of related work experience required; knowledge working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

    ** Competencies:**

    • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and a basic level with Excel.
    • 3-way Match experience preferred
    • JD Edwards or similar ERP accounting software required.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with customers, vendors, and cross functional departments.
    • Good attention to detail, problem solving, and prioritizing responsibilities.
