    POSITION SUMMARY:

     

    The staff accountant will be responsible for participating in the monthly financial close process and ensuring timely and accurate consolidated financial statements for multicurrency global operations. This includes the accounting, reporting, and analysis of consolidated accounts. In addition, this position will participate and assist in the annual consolidated financial audit.

     

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

     

    1. Prepare and record month end closing entries for consolidation group, reconcile accounts and book related elimination and consolidation adjustment entries.

    2. Review and reconcile fixed assets roll-forward schedules at the consolidated level. Prepare and upload the fixed asset historical rate tables to the Consolidation system, and record the necessary adjustments based on historical rates for foreign subsidiaries.

    3. Review trial balances for parent company and various subsidiaries.

    4. Utilize the consolidation system to validate data integrity and accuracy, provide reporting and distribution of consolidated reports, including trail balances, account details & analyses for management.

    5. Reconcile intercompany balances, work with foreign subsidiaries, and other functional departments to resolve open issues.

    6. Generate and create accounting reports and supporting detail for Tax Department.

    7. Prepare and review footnote disclosures and schedules submitted by the foreign and local entities as part of the annual audit process.

    8. Assist the Director of Consolidation on various projects throughout the year and performs ad hoc reporting as required.

     

     

     

    GUIDELINES (ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS):

     

    · 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in Public Accounting/private industry, preferably in manufacturing environment with global operations

    · Experience with financial statement preparation and month end close processes

    · Proficient with Microsoft Excel (including using pivots and VLOOKUP function to work with and analyze data)

    · Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    · Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills

    · Proactive, detail oriented, and self-motivated team-player, able to multi-task and work with other staff and departments to ensure deadlines are met

    · Global consolidation and elimination experience a plus

    · JD Edwards EnterpriseOne experience a plus

    · CPA preferred

     

     

    EDUCATION:

    · Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
