    Job Summary:

    Are you passionate about food service, excited to make an impact in children's nutrition, and eager to grow in your career? We’re looking for a dedicated Kitchen Aide to join our team! This is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced kitchen with a clear path to advancement. We are looking for a self-motivated individual to help in our busy kitchen on Monday through Friday each week. Typical hours would be 7:30 to 3:30. Your main responsibilities will be to run the sanitizer, keep the kitchen clean and organized, and help our cook with meal preparation and distribution.

    This position has plenty of growth opportunities if that is desired.

    Pay Scale: $15-$17/hr, plus a $500 sign on bonus!

    Responsibilities: An employee must meet the physical demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly to walk, stand, and reach with hands and arms, stoop or kneel, and crouch.

    Providing our students with important nutritious meals, 3x/day to help them become the best they can be

    Being a critical part of planning, preparing, and serving the meals to our students and team

    Portion and distribute meals to our 10 classrooms

    Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary workspace; including cleaning and sanitation of dishes

    Ensure proper food handling practices and maintain health and safety guidelines as required by MN State

    Assist with sorting, washing, drying, folding, and returning classroom laundry

    Performs other duties as assigned by the administrative team, to support effective functioning of Early Advantage

    Eagerness to learn key skills that can lead to a Kitchen Manager role.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods

    Comfortable squatting, twisting, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching

    Must be able to life and carry materials as needed for kitchen operations
