Hudson Table is a culinary studio and event space in Williamsburg Brooklyn, NY. We provide unique culinary experiences to our guests; whether they are taking a hands-on cooking class, attending our popular chef competitions, or enjoying a catered event in our open-kitchens.
Flexible work schedule! Full time and Part time available. AM & PM shifts available. Saturday or Sunday availability is desired.
Compensation: Hourly wage starts at $16.50 - $18; averaging $28/hr with tips, shifts are 5 - 6 hours.

Our Kitchen Assistants should be enrolled in a professional Culinary Arts program, or have graduated from a Culinary Arts Program. This can be a great entry level job into the culinary world, or for more advanced cooks we offer opportunities to be Sous Chef's in our Iron Chef Style Competitions.
The role as a Kitchen Assistant is a blend of back of house and front of house operations, and is a unique opportunity to work in the culinary world where BOH is treated equally as the FOH.
Hands-On Classes: You will use your knowledge to help our guests learn techniques and culinary skills, set mise en place, assist the chef, and deliver excellent hospitality to create an enjoyable customer experience.
Catered Events, Public Tasting Menu Dinners & Chef Competitions: In addition to helping with hands-on cooking classes, you will assist the lead chefs in preparing multi-course menus for our private catered events or public dinners. You can also have the opportunity to compete as a sous chef in our viral chef competitions for prize money! You will experience ever-changing menus that evolve with the seasons and are curated directly for the client.
The role as a Kitchen Assistant is a unique blend of back of house and front of house operations and is an incredible opportunity to learn from chefs in an educational and fun environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up the kitchen with proper equipment for hands-on cooking classes, and events
Prepare mise en place for classes
Review class recipes and lesson plans to be prepared for class, and engage with our guests
During class, assist the Chef to ensure our guests have a positive experience
Answering questions for guests on equipment, processes, recipes, and knowing when to defer to the Chef
FOH duties are taking drink orders, and serving guests their food
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required
Culinary Arts Degree from an accredited program
Desired 1 – 2 years of experience in the food industry, will consider enrolled culinary students
Must have an understanding of food preparation, kitchen safety, and kitchen sanitation
Must be able to deliver a good customer experience, this is a customer facing position
