    We are looking for a Kitchen Coordinator (part-time) to join our team today. If you are interested in a career working with children, and know your way around a kitchen, we’d love to talk to you about what your career path could look like in early childhood education.

The Kitchen Coordinator is responsible for the duties outlined by the hiring manager, which may include the following:

    Ensuring the safe handling and preparation of all foods;

    Preparing menus that include healthy snacks;

    Ensuring that the menus are always in compliance with state and federal regulations;

    Complying with all applicable laws and regulations relating to food handling;

    Maintaining appropriate portion sizes;

    Ordering food and paper products.

    Qualifications

    A Kitchen Coordinator must meet the following qualifications:

    the ability to prepare food (in food service states and where approved by GSI to prepare food) and serve food, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations;

    the ability to understand and comply with the franchisee’s policies relating to food service and employment policies;

    the ability to communicate effectively with school personnel, children and parents;

    the ability to handle crisis situations, including assisting in evacuating the building during emergencies;
