Kitchen Food Service Team Member
Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm (additional hours as required)
If you have a passion for food & enjoy working in a helping environment Community Psychiatric Institute, a non-profit leader in Behavioral Healthcare and Substance Abuse treatment in Essex County has an excellent opportunity to work in an adult healthcare setting assisting with breakfast and lunch preparation & other food service components in our day treatment program.
Responsibilities include:
Assist with breakfast and lunch meal prep & cooking.
Assist with meal service.
Assist with meal planning, food shopping & pick up as needed
Properly storing food and supplies.
Assist with daily upkeep and cleanliness of the kitchen environment.
Maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen area.
Maintaining a neat appearance at all times.
Assist with maintaining menus and food logs.
Required:
Valid New Jersey Driver's license for at least 5 years with good driving record.
Must have the ability to work as a team member.
Patience and a supportive attitude.
Excellent customer service skills.
Kitchen/Food prep and cooking experience.
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with co-workers and the patients of the program.
Must be reliable and trustworthy.
Must adhere to all food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures.
Must have experience cooking for large groups.
Must either have a current certification or be willing to complete a ServSafe food service training program.
Submit to Background Check and Drug testing.
