JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*1. Protects the quality and integrity of all food produced in the food & nutrition department.
*2. Manages inventory, ordering, production planning, and supplies to ensure budget compliance.
*3. Develops creative menus for the facility’s cafeteria and catering program, creating menus based on needs
*4. Creates an atmosphere in the department that fosters great team morale, passion for quality, and respect for each other.
*5. Participates in hiring process by making recommendations to Director on new staff.
*6. Assists in the training of new staff in a manner that sets them up to be fully competent and passionate about our food programs.
*7. Collaborate with registered dietitians, cooks, and Director to develop menus
*8. Maintains compliance with all requirements of federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines
