Job Summary: Kitchen staff are primarily responsible for preparing and cooking menu items, maintaining kitchen stations, and assisting with prep work as assigned. Kitchen staff must be capable of working as a part of a team, maintaining a clean workspace, completing sidework as assigned, adhere to all safety standards, and attend any required meetings and trainings.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards, ensuring high-quality culinary offerings.
Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment, ensuring readiness for service.
Coordinate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient preparation and execution of menu items during service periods.
Assist with prep work, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and portioning ingredients, to support smooth kitchen operations.
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper storage, handling, and labeling of food items, to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management regarding ingredient shortages or discrepancies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas, following cleaning schedules and procedures.

Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food and kitchen supplies, checking for accuracy and quality.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine recipes, menu items, and cooking techniques.
Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth communication and teamwork.
Assist with other duties as assigned by management to support overall kitchen operations.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a line or prep cook preferred, but not required.
Obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler’s Permit through the Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department. You must present evidence of a valid permit before or on your first day of employment.
Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively and efficiently.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, with a positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional products.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Must be at least 16 years of age and have legal authorization to work in the United States.
