    Job Title: Kitchen Steward Department: Kitchen

    Job Summary:

    As part of the Goodstone Team, we are committed to inspiring and instilling a passion for excellence and allowing you to excel and grow as a team player! As a Kitchen Steward, you'll adhere to specifications and standards in operating the dishwashing machine to wash designated Restaurant and Kitchenware, clean and maintain equipment, and Dishwashing/ Kitchen/Compactor and Storage areas. Holds the kitchen, dishwashing, and back area in an inspection-ready condition following local authority and guidelines.

    Essential Functions

    Ensure the kitchen is clean, well-maintained, and always organized

    Ensure floors are always dry and clean

    Adhere to all sanitation guidelines

    Assist the Cooks and Servers as and when necessary

    Collects and removes trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures

    Carry out general cleaning as directed, including sweeping, mopping up, washing up, emptying rubbish bins and boxes, ensuring placement in the correct containers

    Cleans and sanitizes pots, pans, utensils, and other minor equipment routinely used in the kitchen following established procedures

    Cleans and maintains floors and walls in the kitchen and dishwashing area by following standard procedures.

    Cleans and sanitizes dishes and related service ware following established procedures

    Cleans large equipment as assigned, following established procedures

    Consistently adheres to SDS (Safety Data Sheet) information related to the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace

    Always maintain a clean and safe work environment

    Other duties as assigned

    Preferred Education and Experience:

    High school or equivalent

    Knowledge of Basic Food Hygiene

    Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

    Supervisory Responsibility:

    No supervisory responsibility
