Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Kitchen Steward to join our team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.
The person having this position must maintain cleanliness of the main kitchen, staff cafeteria, and all hotel outlets.
Because of the fluctuating demands of the company’s operation, it may be necessary that each
employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Maintaining the dish station in the main kitchen
Maintain the cleanliness of the staff cafeteria
Maintain cleanliness of the main kitchen (sweeping, mopping, cleaning equipment, taking out trash, compost, and recycle, etc.)
Clean dishes for hotel outlets
Clean kitchen equipment on weekly bases or as needed
May be asked to do light prep during shift
Put away produce, dry good, protein orders when arrived (label, date, rotate with older items)
Help reorganize kitchen areas when needed
Clean cafeteria after staff meal
Dump oils from venues when needed
Maintain stock of trash bags, towels, and other kitchen necessities
Maintain stock of items in main kitchen (gloves, tasting spoons, towels)

High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
One (1) year of related experience in the hospitality or service industry preferred

Working Conditions/Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
The person having this responsibility may have to lift up to 50lbs on an occasional basis
The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for more than five (5) hours per day
