    Job Summary


    Reporting to the Vice President of Federal Programs, the Knowledge Dissemination Advisor is responsible for developing publications and content for the National Center for Diligent Recruitment at AdoptUSKids, a project under the US Children's Bureau. The National Center will maintain a website, or repository, for promising and evidence-informed practices related to diligent recruitment and retention of foster, adoptive, and kinship families. The Knowledge Dissemination Advisor will be responsible for developing and updating resources, tools, and other content to support child welfare in diligent recruitment while also partnering with our digital media team to provide the programmatic lens to the website strategy, ensuring the Center has a dynamic, audience-focused website. The advisor will work in close collaboration with partners and consultants involved with this program to ensure that website content and universal services meet the needs of child welfare professionals. The advisor will also maintain regular contact with and engage in strategic visioning with other federal grantees to partner and share as necessary. The scope of work for this position is on a national level.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Documentation of diligent recruitment best practices:

    • Through reading, interviewing, and learning from peers, build and maintain expertise on promising and best practices in diligent recruitment.

    • Working closely with partnering content strategists and other collaborators, to curate, create and update content and materials for child welfare professionals on diligent recruitment. These materials may include articles, posts, guides, tools, presentations, and videos.

    • Partner with team members to brainstorm and support identification of topics, monitoring timelines for completion, editing and design, and peer review processes.

    • Participate in continuous improvement of the content and functionality of the website.

    • Attend meetings/conferences and webinars to identify new information that should be added to the repository.

    • Support conference presentation exhibiting to share resources and services from the National Center for Diligent Recruitment.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field and 10+ years in public child welfare OR Master's and 5+ years in public child welfare.
    • High computer proficiency, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Ability to communicate Raise the Future's and The National Center for Diligent Recruitment at AdoptUSKids' brand, mission, vision, and belief statements to a variety of audiences.
    • Expertise in diligent recruitment strategy, planning, implementation, and monitoring.
    • Advanced knowledge of child welfare systems, policies, initiatives, best practices, and performance outcomes and measurement tools (e.g., CFSRs and PIPs), primarily in foster care, kinship, and adoption.
    • Excellent writing skills and experience with content creation.
    • Knowledge of online platforms and websites
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Microsoft Excel
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to provide attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in different teams with a shared vision.
    • Experience curating information preferred.
    • Skilled at seeking, analyzing, and applying evaluation data and feedback in strategic and creative ways to strengthen services.
    • Ability to proactively organize and prioritize work, resolve problems, and simultaneously manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met.

    Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

    This is a remote position with the expectation of working in a private space. This position also may require you to attend meetings with partners and vendors in settings outside the office. A considerable amount of time is spent sitting at a desk using a computer and telephone and attending meetings.

    Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000

    To determine salary, we consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, evaluation of a candidate's skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity.
