    Job Summary:

    Korpi Lawn and Landscape Drivers are responsible for Facilitation of installation and management of landscape projects. Drivers are responsible to help complete jobs with a high quality standard set forth by the company’s founder.

    Job Functions:

    · Manage activities to supply the job sites

    · Work with Director and Foreman effectively and efficiently

    · Communicate and coordinate with the management effectively for accurate completion of jobs

    · This position requires 45 hrs. up to 55 hrs. a week from March through November and December through February 40+ hours per week and being on call all winter for snow removal 24/7 as the events arrive.

    · Promote the development of subordinates in the best practice

    · Track and record all job expenses and hours worked accurately

    · Always maintain a clean rig and safe job site

    · Communicate regularly with a member of the Management Team

    Job Requirements

    · 4+ Years of experience

    · CDL Certificate Class A, with health endorsement and a clean driving record

    · Proficient in medium weight equipment operating skills

    · Knowledge of turf, perennials, shrubs, evergreens, and trees

    · Highly motivated, self-driven individual who is detail oriented

    · Excellent attention to detail while working in a fun & fast paced environment

    · Strong verbal & written communication skills. As a leader of a team this is extremely important.

    · Good time management skills; be available for seasonal long hours and weekends

    · Ability to prioritize and multi-task

    · Able to work effectively with individuals of differing knowledge and background

    · Punctual and dependable

    · Must have the ability to work in the rain and extreme temperatures

    · Ability to lift, pull and push up to 125lbs, carry materials, bend, twist, kneel, climb, and balance

    · Always uphold company policy and procedure and standard of conduct

    · Ability to follow direction

    · Skills to manage materials, and expenses, and good record keeping (organization)

    · Mechanical skills as necessary to make simple repairs and always keep equipment in good working order.

    · Other duties as they may arise

    Start and Finish times:

    · You are required to be 10 Minutes early, in the case you are late more than 5 minutes, you are required to call the Operations Head, if you do not and have no reason (i.e. lost phone ect.) After 3 cases, you will be terminated.

    · If you are sick you are to call Operations Head ASAP to help us deal with your absence, should excessive sick days that interrupt the normal flow of Business and/or inhibit your ability to manage, Korpi Lawn & Landscape Reserves the right discontinue this employment relationship.

    · You are invited to take 5 days off per season (mid-March-November) and 5 days off during the other portion of the year the request for time off must be given 21 days in advance with managements approval.

    · You are required to be at work 30-90 minutes before your team to prepare for the day and go over any job details.

    Compensation

    This position comes with a Company phone (with new devise every other year).

    Pay is to be in parts:

    1. hourly with ongoing performance bonuses as job minimums are exceeded.

    2. Performance bonuses off jobs you helped with that are profitable as long as the company is profitable.

    3. Compensation shall be reviewed each year.

    Term of Employment

    It is Korpi Lawn & Landscapes intention to retain you indefinably and/or as long as the employment relationship is mutually beneficial.

    Work Environment

    No matter what specific task a truck driver and his team are doing, they can expect to get dirty doing it. The job requires heavy lifting, as the truck driver supervises the moving of bulky items, along with pesticides and fertilizers. The job involves the operation of equipment that might be dangerous, such as chain saws, lawnmowers and medium weight machinery, so the truck driver must wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Equipment used on the job is often loud, so the truck driver must take precautions to protect his/her hearing. The job requires work outdoors in all kinds of weather. While some jobs may only be seasonal during the warmer months, other duties require snow-removal operations during the winter months. This position is full time during the off-season Mid November-the third week of March, work is on call for weather events and tree work as well as other contract work. Work other than Snow Removal services will be performed when temperatures are above -10 degrees F. Work during the off season is not optional, it is required to maintain employment. If these rules are not followed your employment will be in “Resignation” Status as outline in the employee handbook.

    Quarry work and sawyer work for stone fabrication for 40 hours each week is required as orders demand and production performance is met, November 1st through March 30st with obligation to work on call for Emergency Snow Removal as the events arrive and other work as its available.
