Job Summary
We are seeking a Mortuary Removal Driver to join our team! As a mortuary first-call driver, you will be responsible for the transportation of human remains from various hospitals, convalescent centers, and residential homes. Good communication skills are required as you will have direct contact with family members and funeral personnel. As a team, you will be required to handle and maneuver human remains in a compassionate and dignified manner. (training is provided) Driver responsibilities include arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services of the vehicles, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations. Note that you don’t need to have a car; we provide drivers with our own vehicles. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and customer service skills, the ability to multitask, and the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism, in respect for our profession.

This is a 40-hour full-time position & Part-time position available.
The schedule will be discussed at the time of interview.
8 hour shifts with paid overtime
5 day work week
Including some weekends and holidays

Responsibilities
Advise families compassionately and professionally the next steps of the funeral process.
Have a valid driver's license within the state of employment (a commercial driver’s license (CDL) is not required)
Able to drive for long periods with potential long distance removals
Be able to operate and navigate a mini van. (you do not need to provide your own vehicle)
Consent to a drug test
Be able to lift and maneuver as a team a range of 1-250+ lbs during an 8 to 10-hour work shift
Demonstrate strong communication skills
Excellent attention to detail with skill set to problem solve independently
Must maintain a professional appearance
Background checks will be conducted
