  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for a Diesel Mechanic proficient in Heavy Equipment/forklift and Gen Set to join our team! You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various pieces of heavy equipment and generators.

    The figure will be expected to manage the assigned vehicle fleet with focus on preventive maintenance. In case of need, he will be able to take advantage of Oculux X, which is a remote video assistance opportunity with customized glasses.

    The company doesn’t require work transfers.

    The company envisages the creation of career plans created ad hoc for each person including the possibility of undertaking training in Italy or France.

    Position Title: Diesel Mechanic

    Reports to : Maintenance Manager

    Primary Responsibilities :

    • Perform maintenance through accurate equipment inspections, using a specific equipment checklist
    • Knowledge and experience with diesel engine, hydraulic and electronical systems
    • Troubleshooting various heavy equipment (forklift /trucks / wheel loader)
    • Reading electrical and hydraulic schematics
    • Ability to use the computer maintenance program to charge out parts and to track equipment services.
    • Ability to read and interpret parts and service manuals for equipment when needed.

    Experience:

    • 5 or more years of experience as a mechanic repairing and maintaining heavy equipment
    • Knowledge and experience in electrical, drive train, engine, hydraulics
    • Experience with diagnostic related software is a plus
    • History of working with different forms of heavy equipment (forklift, tractors, wheel loader, material handler) Cat / Hyster / Ottawa / Terberg / John Deere.

    Education:

    • High School diploma (or equivalent) required
    • Any related certifications/training (Electrical/Mechanical) is a plus
    • Factory, vocational, or mechanical training a plus or equivalent in work history.

    • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
    • Must have an oriented/Strong work ethic
    • Must have own tools and tool box
    • Not only a willingness, but ability to learn
    • Must be organized and able to complete necessary reports
    • Very strong knowledge in electrical systems
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills – ability to get along with diverse personalities
    • Valid driver’s license
    • General knowledge in maintenance
    • Safety first mentality
    • Manage the workload that is put before you.
