    JOB OVERVIEW:

    LDA Capital is looking for a results-driven professional to actively engage with prospective companies seeking alternative financing on a global basis.

     

    Candidates shall have a background in Business Development within financial, technology or insurance sales. The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter with the ability to identify influencers and decision makers. You will discover qualified investment opportunities by identifying leads driven by investment themes; you will be expected to build rapport and establishing long-term relationships along the way. The position requires the management of a high-volume of investment opportunities requiring constant interaction and communication with potential targets; exceptional attention to detail is a must. The individual must be highly motivated, must work well under pressure and must have the ability to work independently in a rapidly evolving capital markets environment. This candidate will work closely with members of the transaction team and Investment Committee.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·         Drive top-of-the-funnel lead generation, convert qualified leads into transactions.

    ·         Update and manage all activities, opportunities, and account information in CRM.

    ·         Consistently achieve monthly quota of qualified investment opportunities.

    ·         Research and investigate opportunities by mining data and quantitatively analyzing new relationship opportunities via LinkedIn and/or cold emailing.

    ·         Perform financial analyses, industry research, and prepare deal screening memos to be reviewed by the investment committee.

    ·         Additional responsibilities may include assisting the Managing Partners and Investment teams in various projects and with the sourcing of special situation investment opportunities.

     

    ABILITIES, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

    ·         Highly motivated and driven with a proven track record in successful deal sourcing.

    ·         Impeccable work ethic

    ·         Willing to go the extra mile and not accept “No” for answer.

    ·         A person who has a “hungry” mentality and will investigate extensively until getting the right information/answer; he/she must be persistent in their day-to-day modus operandi.

    ·         Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.

    ·         Entrepreneurial thinkers and executers

     

    ANALYST EXPERIENCE:

    ·         Front seat view into the origination and structuring of transactions for a global alternative investment firm.

    ·         Working directly with established multi strategy investors, Founders & Co-CEO’s.

    ·         Direct exposure to C level managers across 20+ Countries and 10+ Industries.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    ·         At least 3 years of relevant work experience

    ·         Bilingual preferred (must be fluent in English).

    ·         Ready, willing, and able to work extended (early and late) hours given various global time zones.

    ·         Must be based in Los Angeles and able to commute daily to offices located in Santa Monica, CA.

    ·         Proven ability to cold call, cold email, and network virtually (through LinkedIn).

    ·         Strong work ethic with professional behavior, appearance, and personal integrity.

    ·         Keen interest in the financial markets and strong business acumen

    ·         Confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

    ·         Genuine passion for excellence; results oriented.

    ·         Ability to work independently with focus and determination.

    ·         Proficient computer skills (Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Sales CRM, Excel, Bloomberg, Word and PowerPoint applications).

    ·         Relevant industry experience is a positive.

    ·         Experience with CRM is a must.
