    Levenson Eye Associates is a multisite ophthalmology practice with locations throughout the Jacksonville metropolitan area. Our experienced and skilled caregiver team specializes in the management of all eye related diseases. We use the most advanced technology available to provide the highest quality care to our patients and improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

    Position Summary:

    The Patient Coordinator for all locations will be traveling across our five offices as required by the Patient Access Manager. Continuous and detailed communication with all front office team members and the Patient Access Manager is critical to ensure best in class service to our patients.

    This position is located at one of our five offices; candidate should have reliable transportation to travel to other locations with limited notice.

    Office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Schedule within this timeframe.

    Job Description/Essential Functions:

    Check-in and check-out patients

    Verify insurance and ensure all patient information is accurate and updated. Appointment scheduling for all five offices Prepare and audit paper patient charts. Assist in the call center as needed depending on staffing needs. Following HIPPA guidelines and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures

    Assist with Medical Records and call center coverage

    Qualifications/Experience: High School graduate or equivalent experience 2 years previous experience within a fast-paced medical office (ophthalmology preferred) Knowledge in HIPPA Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Take the initiative to learn and advance within the organization.

    Must be dependable, self-motivating, multi-tasking and possess excellent active listening skills.

    Empathetic to patient's needs.

    Computer literacy of 45wpm.

    Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

    **Must be flexible with schedule and adaptable to traveling to other locations with limited notice.

    Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
