    LICENSED CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY COUNSELOR (LCDC) Bi-lingual (Preferred)

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES LCDC is responsible for ensuring the provision of recovery-focused, person-centered care with a trauma-informed perspective. This position operates in a dynamic environment and performs case management, assessment, and/or service coordination work based on the program's guidelines. The LCDC - Substance Abuse duties may include and are not limited to providing continuity of care services, linking consumers and families to all needed resources, and coordinating, monitoring, and updating services and consumer goals. Providing necessary skills training, assisting in crisis prevention, and/or providing community outreach are additional roles. As a team member of programs in substance use services, the LCDC - Substance Use coordinates clinical and substance use treatment tools to address clients' needs, utilizing assessment, multidisciplinary coordination, and efficient, clinically appropriate utilization of agency resources. The position requires extensive knowledge of substance use disorders and working knowledge of treatment techniques that are effective with chemically dependent clients, especially those who have a history of abusing opiates, as well as a working knowledge of methadone/buprenorphine treatment. A working knowledge of infectious diseases such as Hepatitis, HIV, STD, and other infectious diseases is required. This position follows identified strategies for the achievement of unit performance measures and ensures the highest quality of care while effectively utilizing resources.

    This position may carry an individual caseload. On-call responsibilities may be required dependent upon unit protocols.

    QUALIFICATIONS • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree with a major specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field.

    • Minimum two years experience working in the mental health field • 1-2 years' direct client care experience in mental health and/or substance use services. • Experience in this field • Strong leadership skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to coach and work with clients throughout their treatment Bi-lingual (Required)

    Licenses: • Current and valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required. • LCDC or LCDC-CI. Must obtain and maintain licensure throughout employment and adhere to professional values and ethics.
