    Flanagan, Barone & O’Brien, LLC (“FBO”) is a successful, growing firm which embraces diversity in seeking to build a strong team of professionals. FBO is currently seeking a Litigation Trial Attorney with 5+ years of trial experience. The position provides anpportunity to work both independently and as part of our strong litigation team.

    Responsibilities:

    Handle all aspects of insurance defense matters (auto, slip and fall, construction, products liability and property damage matters) up to and through trial, including discovery, court appearances, depositions/examinations under oath, expert issues, and client management;

    Communicate with clients, experts, witnesses to prepare for and complete trial testimony;

    Drafting pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery, required client reports;

    Render opinions on liability, damages and case value; and

    Appear before courts and arbitrators/mediators.

    Qualifications:

    JD from an accredited law school ;

    Admitted to NJ Bar;

    Must have completed at least five (5) civil trials;

    5+ years previous experience in litigation with trial experience;

    Experience with insurance defense, slip and falls, and construction litigation matters;

    Ability to integrate into a fast-paced, team-oriented environment;

    Exceptional writing and communication skills;

    Computer proficiency;

    Ability to maintain/enter billable time;

    Ability to prioritize assignments, reporting deadlines and case load with trial schedule; and

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Candidate must have a flexible schedule and demonstrate a commitment to providing quality client service and adherence to work completion deadlines.

    Candidate must be a member in good standing with the New Jersey Bar and be able to travel as required for trials, hearings, depositions, etc.
