Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: The Subpoena Clerk is responsible for the preparation, service, and tracking of subpoenas and the receipt of returned documents. The ideal candidate for this role will be one who has a keen eye for detail, is meticulously organized, and has at least one year of experience issuing subpoenas in a law firm.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· Draft, review and revise legal and non-legal documents including correspondence and memoranda, pleadings, and Civil Subpoenas
· Conduct follow up calls and track status of documents.
· Follow up with attorneys regarding status of subpoena requests.
· Maintain daily calendar and computer files. Ensure tasks are completed timely and properly documented.
· Keep cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software.
· Docketing.
· Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests
· Maintaining records attendant to court proceedings.
