    Job Description

    We are looking for a Data Entry office operator to process information into our database from emails and paper documents. Compensation is hourly and includes a minimum of 40hr/week with some optional overtime. This position does not include any medical or dental benefits. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. Understanding of data confidentiality principles is compulsory.

    HOURS: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM OR 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM MONDAY TO FRIDAY (OFFICE BASED TO START TRANSITION TO WORK FROM HOME)

    COMPENSATION: $17-19 PER HOUR

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Handle database by entering fresh and updated information
    • Insert customer and account data by inputting text based and numerical information from source documents into prescribed database software
    • Compile, verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry
    • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output to ensure data integrity at every stage
    • Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations
    • Confer with supervisor regarding incomplete information
    • Respond to information access and retrieval requests from authorized members
    • Keep information confidential

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Good attention to detail – accuracy is critical
    • Ability to work at home with minimal supervision
    • A knowledge of standard software packages (Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and other Corporate Applications, etc) and the ability to learn company-specific software
    • Must have home internet Wi-Fi access protected by password
    • Must own mobile phone with texting / SMS service
    • Ability to handle transactions in line with established procedures and policies
    • Proven data entry working experience
    • Typing speed and accuracy – 40 WPM minimum
    • Good reading and writing skills
    • A good sense of urgency
    • Background and credit check
    • Must have own transportation for initial training/ramp-up period provided by management and be able to attend 3-5 consecutive days of paid training to be provided in Albany, NY area
    • High school diploma
