    Job description

    ACI Federal is seeking a LVN to support a clinic in the Fort Worth, TX position. You can expect to be compensated $20.00 /hr and be a member of a collaborative and supportive team of medical professionals all seeking to provide their patients with the very best care.

    LVN Duties and Responsibilities:
    1. Performs health duties within the scope of LVN practice/protocol
    2. Administers immunizations and other injections as directed by the RN or assists other nurses as requested.
    3. Gathers blood and other specimen samples as needed.
    4. Documents appropriate information in client records and reports appropriate information to primary health care provider(s). Places lab results on charts after review by practitioners. Maintains confidentiality of client information as outlined in HIPAA guidelines.
    5. Issues and educates clients on various medications and importance of adherence to medications.
    6. Gathers information and prepares LVN activity reports included but not limited to monthly TDH vaccines.
    7. Monitors medical supply inventory and accounts for vaccines and testing materials.
    8. Assists in training new employees as needed.
    9. Attends and participates in professional group meetings. Stays abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of nursing.
    10. Performs all other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Graduated from an accredited Nursing school
    • Active and unrestricted LVN State License
    • Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse in the state where the facility is located or compact state license
    • 2 years of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
    • CPR certification
    • Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certification.
    • 3 years' experience as an LVN

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • The position will require walking, standing, or sitting for periods of up to or beyond 10 to 12 hours each day
    • Under urgent or emergency situations, the incumbent may need to run, sprint, or run up or down stairs
    • May require bending, stooping, and lifting to 40+ lbs. as required for patient care and transport May require working overtime when necessary
    • Must be able to perform duties in an indoor or outdoor environment
    • Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.
    • Due to varied current global health climate, additional personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines may apply. Employees may potentially be working in an environment supporting the medical response to an emergency health crisis created by a highly infectious disease, COVID-19
