    ACADEMIC:

    • All applicants shall be fully licensed to perform LPN/LVN.
    • Must be licensed by the state of Florida.
    • Must have at least 2 years documented experience as an LPN/LVN.
    • Must be certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation.
    • Must be a graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN Program.

    Note:

    • Open to discuss the pay rate.

    SCHEDULE:

    Monday through Friday; normally provide 40 (1) hour sessions per day, 5 days per week, excluding Federal Holiday

    Work hours will normally be between 06:00-14:30 or 07:30-16:00, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

    All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the field of Licensed Vocational Nurse services, and compliance with all Federal and State policy and regulations. The contractor shall adhere to all standards and regulations associated with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and American Correctional Association Foundation/Core Standards for Adult Correctional Institutions. The contractor’s performance shall be monitored by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). The contractor must have the ability to work with an Adult in Custody population from a variety of cultural, regional, racial and ethnic backgrounds.

    The contractor shall be responsible for, but is not limited to:

    • Provide direct patient care services in accordance with legal, ethical, and institutional standards through the evaluation of patients and therapeutic treatment as ordered by Health Services clinical staff.

    • Perform nursing duties within the scope of the current licensure.

    • Administer medications as prescribed i.e., by mouth, intradermally, subcutaneously, or intramuscularly, to include insulin.

    • Assist with distribution of medications at pill line.

    • Monitor and evaluate the response to therapy.

    • Perform skin testing.

    • Perform venipuncture for the purpose of obtaining laboratory specimens.

    • Record and document patient care activities on appropriate records such as health history.

    • Record diagnostic testing, i.e., venipuncture for laboratory studies, visual acuity testing, EKGs (per instructions from mid-level practitioners or physicians)
